My trailer is 84" wide and my current rig hang over either side with D60s and the 44s. I think it is in the neighborhood of 92" wide. This will be no different. I am reusing the rear axle and the front is an HP D60 full width.

I have been looking at some of the aluminum beadlocks- maybe I will move to those on some 43SX... After I dig out of debt from this build!

My front is a little wider than the rear, maybe 85".

I've been looking for a decent deal on some used aluminum 17" beadlocks. My H1's are all bent an wobbly... Still hold air perfectly but the flat center design is too easily bent.

There are a couple of sets floating around on Pirate and on Hardline... 17s too. I am running 15s so I would need tires and wheels and that runs $3k used!

Well the last couple of days has had some ups and downs... Biggest issue being the tear down of my 20 year crawler project... Sad Day- Click Here. It was like a family member...

Anyway, I will be recovering some money for the Bronco Crawler.

I also got the grille narrowed 14"... I am a little concerned how far the 44s on 10" wide beadlocks with 3" back spacing will stick out...

Looks good with the 14" out. Is that pic close to ride height?

Floor to frame no- it will be about 5" taller with the 44s on it.

Axle to frame- this is where I am planning on ride height, but that may continue to change as I work on it.

I am trying to keep it the same height as my '75 with 37" tires and 7" lift. Top of the cage on the '75 is about 82" and just squeezes into my garage- which is where they both will reside.

sounds about right, how much up travel will that give you?

I'm sitting at 6.5" of up travel on 42's with an overall height of 80"

im dropping to 40' maxxis creepys and 5'' of up travel so i should sit at 77''

I've got air bumps so ill be ok in the whoops ay moderate speeds.

its cool to see how you cut your grill, i pulled out 13.5'' and merged the "f" and the "d" together. you went with a cleaner look. more work but clean

It will be 6" up travel, 10" down on 16" COs. if I am within an inch or so of the garage door, I will drop air pressure to get in.

I will do air bumps later in the build... Want to get the links and COs in first.

I actually think this way is cleaner... No FD slammed together. It required more cuts and lining it back up was a bitch... But there are no letters- all smooth.

I like that look you guys have pulled off, (narrowed) from the builders stand point, that's not very easy to do! The F and D together probaly cost another few hours of build time maybe not. I don't have a measurement to the top of the cage, but ground to the bottom of the rocker panel is 27" I think. The day I first went to put the truck on the trailer, I about sh--it my pants---looked like it was'nt gonna fit---but after recentering the truck, it went on scraping the trailer fenders, oh well it fit's. The first few times loading I did'nt bother using the ramps---how cool right? I'ts alot easier using the ramps---way easier to line up. I hope to have good news around this time tommorrow stating the motor did'nt shut off, I'll keep my fingers XXXXXX

Yep its certainly cleaner, my decision was made for me. The last guy to cut & splice the grill together was jesse james so it only made sense to do it exactly the same. The grill was the only piece I wish I hadn't effed up in the roll over :( I was thinking of having a piece cut that could go over the "fd" like a new ford logo or something cool

I actually thought about cutting out the FORD as one piece and grafting it between the marker lights, but I am not a good bodyman, so I went this route. I may get some of the letters from one of the Vendors and stick them on.

Keeping that ford thing, reguardless of choice, keeps it in the Ford tradition, It works for me.

I assume you mean my '75... Pic below... I can't take full credit of it. I bought it with some of the work done... Including the body work, but I have done a lot of work since. It's a hell of a Mall Crawler!!

Popped a valve cover off the 351 and it wasn't great. Engine was running, but full of sludge and some broken spring parts.

Picked up a complete running '94 351w with 80k miles. Good foundation for the aluminum heads and roller rockers I got with the Bronco!

Is the E4OD flex plate the same as the C6??
