The bronco was repainted at some point, and had a color change inside out. The other modifications were Ahhhoooooga horn, Duraspark, aftermarket center console, newer overflow/washer res, electric wipers and a reman carb.

I think the model years went different. So the first 1966 would be august, the first 1967 in August, and so on. So a 68 may be built in 68 or 69.

I think you are mistaken. August '65 is when the first 66s were built. Ford traditionally starts the model year production in the fall before the model year. I had a '68 built in late Aug '67 and raced in the first Baja 1000 in NOV 67. But was still a 68 Bronco, and so said the Marti report and longtime owner.

A January 69' would start with an E before the numerals.

Cool that you were able to find most of the previous owner info! I researched some on one of my 66's. Original owner bought it when he was 66yo in 1966. He died in 73' and I believe it may have sit until 1988. What's your plans with it?

Ahhh. Yes I'm mistaken. I retread it several times before posting. So his is Jan 68 built?

My initial plans are to get it running good, and make it a plow rig. Any restoration would be in the cowl / front floor area. The nose is pretty solid, and the floor supports and body mounts seem tight. I don't want to restore another car any time soon, but it would be great to own something care free that I can buzz around in.

10 yrs in a container? Was the container submerged in salt water or was it simply a victim of winter time roads in the North? How many dollars did you hand to the seller?

It saw a few years of salty winters before storage. It looks like the owner in MN gave it a refreshing in the 90's.

Boy that baby needs some love. Left inside a storage container that long I am surprised there is anything left worth keeping. Storage containers are not kind to metal with rust on it.
