Hi everyone, new to post but actively surfed for years. I purchased my 6th EB (1970) last summer, usually buy and sell within a few years, just making memories with my kids. I never doubted authenticity bc all my purchases have clean title. Bought a rebuild with clean Fla title; however, after receipt I decided to get a Marti…came back invalid VIN. Clean frame VIN that matches title, I spoke to Scot (@Marti) he said while highly unusual it doesn’t mean the Bronco is “suspect”. Looking for advice, I reached out the prior owner a few weeks ago…no response.

@obryamj you sir may be in luck. Next time you contact Marti replace the G with a 7, which is for a low compression 302 for export rather than a standard 302, and the 920348 is a special order DSO for export.

And I just happen to have the Marti for the bronco that was special ordered after yours. 920349

@Okie, report is in, and sure enough your assessment appears correct. See attached. I purchased the Standard report simply to confirm VIN. Any thoughts as to why the frame and glove box tag VIN are stamped "G" and not "7" ?

Awesome! That's only the second low compression 302 I can remember seeing. I would imagine it was just stamped G out of habit.

Since G is the 7th letter in the alphabet maybe that's why it was used in place of the G for the low compression motor?

That’s a 66-67 speedometer.
That’s a new twist, I’m guessing it was handy at the time of the rebuild. Mechanic did a great job restoring but I’ve noticed several areas where he got lazy

Here's mine.Winding up a 3 year frame off (if I don't go broke first). Hope to have it on the road by June, I've owned it since '92. Second owner. Going to be all original, except a JD 2.5 lift. Let me know if you guru's see anything in the report that's noteworthy.

Pretty interesting to see a white ranger with blue interior. Do you have any pics of it?

Just this pic when I took it out. I have new blue houndstooth and blue vinyl from SMS to reupholster it, just need to figure out how to get my dash period correct blue. Original one was blue but it’s trashed. Picked up a NIB parchment dash on here, do you think an upholstery shop could overlay that blue vinyl on it? IMG_2673.jpeg

Just paint that dash blue with vinyl dye. It will look original and nobody will ever know the difference. If you cover it with vinyl it will look like, well…..like somebody covered it in vinyl.

I got the Vinyl paint recommended on here, but it’s not a perfect match to the original dash. If anyone has any dye color recommendations for that blue I am all ears.
