Just got back.
I think I counted 8 early Broncos this year. Didn't go everywhere.
3 in the Baja section.
Big Oly
Galpin 69-70 original race truck
Galpin shiny new build, I think the one that has been around for nearly a decade based on a '66.

In other places I remember a couple more.
One had 8-stack injection on a modern engine
One had a supercharger
Two different with electric conversions, the second one I looked at was a '66ish roadster (mirror on fender, but no eyebrow grill)

And you could not look in any direction without looking at a new Bronco. Half of the production run so far had to be at the show.

And an into a bunch of Bronco people (except Todd Z)

There was a red 1 with a small block 427 twin screw, 1/2 cab soft top (I was told the 1/2 cab was from bc bronco's)
There was a 21 2 door 1/2 cab built into a fireman support truck (looked like they took out the rear window section & slid the rear cap to the front top. Rich

904Bronco--- Your quote and pics don't match the description. The orange one with the BC Broncos soft top (not in production yet), 427 Twin Turbo's was from Oregon, not the "Fire Dept hard top 1/2 cab" you posted pics of, just to help clarify.

The orange one from Oregon was Jon and Rhonda Barricklow's of JBFab. You all know them from their line up of SS twin & triple stick & cable shifters.

I have adjusted Rich's quote in my Thread to reflect the 2 door FD Command/Rapid response rig. He spoke about two rigs...

I don't think anyone would confuse the two rigs in the Quote....

Hey gang,

I actually made it to SEMA this year too - this was my first trip so I don't have a reference for what it has been in the past, but I heard from others that there was ~1100 fewer vendors this year (1200 vs 2300 in 2019?). I still had a great time wandering the halls!

I was there with my friends from Legacy EV, who supplied the electronics for Gateway Bronco's first EV conversion. That EB was in the booth, so it certainly helped to bring in a lot of attention (photo attached). I know I've seen some mixed feelings about Gateway and their past quality, but this one is pretty impressive in person - it should be for ~$380k  Most of us are not their target market, but Seth has certainly found a niche in the classic Bronco market.

This trip is just one of the many reasons I am not getting my Bronco project done :)

I didn't do a great job of taking pics, but here's a few of the one with the 8-stack injection setup. The grill and the front lip of the hood are billet aluminum...not my style, but a really interesting approach to making a unique grill and front end!

Anyone happen to recognize the mirrors on this EB? What did they come off of?

Also thought the sidepipes were interesting. I know, I hate my leg skin too and this would certainly solve that! (They were actually on electronic cutouts, but still!)

Glad you were able to go for the first time, Marcus! It is still a great, overwhelming show even in smaller years like this year. I saw that truck but didn't spend a lot of time checking it out.

It was definitely a good time - I think I'm already signed up to go back next year too! This year was a bit last minute, but I'll be sure to announce it to the CB crew if I am going to make it next year. It'd be great to meet some of you in real life sometime! Ha!

I was talking with the sales agent for the house I am having built. He was mentioning his son made it to SEMA and was working that same booth. Also had the C10 in it.

What transmission is behind that 427W TT?

Actually, I think the two red Broncos could easily be confused. Heck, people ask if EB's are the newly released Broncos often enough..

Anyway, I believe Jon told me year's ago that he installed a 4r100 behind the TT. Obviously there isn't a bolt on thing that is "stock"! :)
