Windshield wipers that allow the most cross bar clearance

I had the vacuum wipers in my 68, then upgraded to the synchronized electrical stock units. When I put a cage in I mounted a crossbar on top, near the windshield. I mounted that top bar as far forward as I could but still on occasion, like hitting a hidden stump where I bang my bald head on a padded top bar. Was thinking of running rain X and no wipers, but is there an option that lets a guy move that top cross bar as far forward as possible?

Post a picture of your setup.

You might be able to make the bar with a couple of little bends on the ends. Not just pushing the bar as far forward as possible, but raise the bar closer roof.
