TX SS – 1973 Ford Bronco Build

Finished up insulating and bracing the top. The roof had prior damage that was repaired and the metal was very pliable through the center. I added a layer of dynamat, a layer of closed cell foam and glued in a 4’ brace to tighten things up. Worked very well to firm it up. The headliner is abs plastic, covered with a suede backed foam headliner material.

Had some helpers over this morning and we set on hood and top. Hood needs slight adjustment and top is only partially bolted down. Ran out of time but at least both are on the truck.

Last week I passed TX safety inspection and then promptly went and got registration and TX license plates. Starting to put some miles on it as I can. Sunday I went to a small gathering at a brewery close to the house.

Thanks! Triple white would be a little too icy white for me, ha. I hope to get the wheels powder coated in January which will break up the exterior a little bit more.

If you decide you want smoothy caps for the wheels let me know, I have some cut for the front hubs.

Yes they bolt on through the door sill plate and then attach at the ends on front/rear fenders through the flares/fender. Hopefully you can piece together what I did from these pictures. They are two piece, welded together. The small upper fits in the void left under door sill. There are 7 bolts through the door sill and rocker/slider, and then two bolts through the tabs at the end. You can see the tabs in the last picture.
