Whats your plan for it, Ryan?

Its going to need new front floor pans, C bushings, struts, and radius arm bushings, probably along with new body mounts, and the seats will need to be recovered. I plan on hanging on to it at the moment. Remember ricky these are our 401k's ;)

When I saw it on one of my facebook feeds I asked my wife would it be ok to buy another bronco. I shouldn't have asked her! Congrats!

Ha, don't you know it's easier to beg for forgiveness than it is to ask permission? I'm glad she said no ;D

Well everyone meet Emil! The Arkansas bronco has finally made it to Michigan! Over all it was a pretty easy experience and it went smoother than expected! I ended up choosing the name Emil for 2 main reasons. One being the previous owner and two an old buddy that recently passed away to soon!

I got a little back story on this bronco and that was an old timer bought this rig sometime in the early 70's and was the second owner. He used it primarily as wood truck up until he passed away. His son Emil Jr inherited the bronco and used it for sometime until parking it where it sat for a few years. Fast forward up to a few months ago where he decided to sell and a gentlemen named David Arnold bought it with hopes of restoring it as his ex wife sold his origina bronco out from him during his divorce. I stumbled upon it as he picked up a land cruiser that he wanted to fix up a little more than this bronco. So I jumped on it and here it is.

The second reason is I had a friend by the name if Emil who recently passed away a few months ago. Emil was a Vietnam veteran who was quirky in his ways but was a true character! He always had a smile, loved the ladies, his red stag whiskey, and was a very generous with letting me hunt on his farm and loading me up with produce! Emil suffered a fatal heart attack which caught most are small town by surprise because it was very sudden. They found him in his truck still running so I know he passed doing something he loved which was driving around his farm checking on his live stock and making sure everything was ok. I feel like it's a tribute to both my friend and the previous owners. I don't know exactly what im going to do with Emil yet but once the weather warms up a bit we'll cross that road! Here he is!

Great story, congrats on getting Emil home. These kind of purchases don't always end up a success, really glad yours worked out!

Gone to a better place for sure. I'm ready for that spring thaw myself.
