I Just did shorty headers by sanderson and for the interior i'm looking at relicate fabrics - they have the nicest materials i have seen so far personally, good luck

Sand will not affect it any more than dirt when driving down a dirt road IF you have the filter sealing properly.

Case in point, make sure your filter seals better than good and you are fine.

I’m assuming that you lived up to your login name and did NOT get stuck there and then. 🤣🤣🤣

Actually that pic? Drove right out. :) We hadn't taken a pic of us on the dunes for a week so this was nothing but a poser pic. I get stuck a LOT because I like to wheel. My motto with that plate is "You're "nvrstuk" if you never wheel". I get a lot of buddies taking pics of me buried because of the plate that I've had for well over 20 yrs.

I entered (and made) the calendar for the first time this year with a Moab wheeling shot! Totally shocked. But no, I've never entered this pic for our calendar although it did make a Hot Rod calendar for this year. That was a lot of sand. Thanks.

We (I) got sidetracked about sand :) but what air filter do you run? Can you post a pic of it? I really don't think that's your issue but it's hard to rule things out w/o actually being there to diagnose- although this forum has some excellent resources!!

Already mentioned: compression check. What does the receipt say was done by the last guy? I'd fight the guy for a few bucks so you can take it somewhere else. Does he have a website or FB page? How long has it been? I know that a couple crate motor outfits have excellent warranties. Ford Motorsports does not.

Otherwise, buy a good Bronco specific cover and take that beautiful looking EB you have to a reputable shop. Make SURE you have your insurance up to snuff and the shop is reputable.

Keep us updated. Best of luck

You don’t need a bronco specialist - just a good mechanic. Are you getting any smoke out the tailpipe?

Take off your valve covers and make sure they have the baffle in them under the area where the pcv valve connects.
I too had a very similar issue with a new engine. It turned out I had valve covers without baffles in them and it was splashing/sucking oil right into the intake and smoking a lot and using oil. Drove me crazy until I stumbled upon a thread of someone who had the same issue.

Oh man thats tough. I found this site when I purchased mine when the motor came apart on me getting it off the trailer when getting home. Before taking it somewhere for 6 months or more you should at least try to troubleshoot it. Believe me when I tell you this group saved me THOUSANDS and the most experienced Bronco experts in the world. Crate motors and builders labor is still extremely expensive.

OP you have mentioned second motor now going to a third. How are you breaking in the engines? You mentioned never seeing 60, and stated you are only doing 20, if so your engine is never breaking in. That and living on a beach, any lengthy sit times of weeks or more, and you can seriously rust the internals. If you are removing another engine, you need to open it up and see what is happening, take one head off show us pictures.

Who are you getting a crate motor from? A crate motor is not something you buy from a backyard rebuilder, it's from a known respected company, most nowadays have up to a year wait list. It sounds like you didn't buy a crate, but a rebuilt from some mechanic?

I will be 20 miles from you for three days 16-18 Oct at Destin if interested in a pair of eyes looking it over. I'm a certified mechanic. If it's driveable you can bring it to me.

OP, my .02?

Take up this offer of a qualified set of eyes checking your engine out!

Odds are something rather simple is causing your premature "engine failures".

You really don't want this to happen again.

I picked up the bronco then a week later the world was shut down with covid. Of course ill bring it over then to show if I have it at the time. I have some properties in destin I have a property management company for vacations .

I will for sure I got frustrated and told the guy the put a new motor in it and I am selling it but he hasnt done it yet solely because hes been trying to work something out with jasper.
