Hi all,

New to forum and first time posted. Live in Mexico and have a few early bronco projects I am working on here (they turn up here every once in a while..).

Not sure if others have seen this before where VIN on frame looks incomplete and almost as if his has an extra number printed (albeit skewed).

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!

Nick

Hey there. Welcome to ClassicBroncos! And thanks for becoming a contributor so quickly because not only is it nice for the website but it really helps to see pictures of what numbers are talking about.

I’m not a VIN expert here, but there are several who should jump in soon. But basically, yes there are many discrepancies of the VIN especially on the frame where the stampings were either incomplete, too shallow, or in one case recently even had a backwards character.
Very strange and inconsistent indeed.

Good luck with your search! Hopefully some of those experts will try in soon.

Marti doesn’t really do ‘66’s so that is probably not surprising.
