Has the high end Bronco market cooled off?

I see the big players such as Velocity, Gatway etc still sounding like they are busy or at capacity. Is the market still that strong for these very high priced build to order Broncos or has it settled down? I see their builds on the secondary market for a fraction of the new price and wonder if the demand is still there. It has to end at some point but the auctions are so up and down you just cant tell. Does anyone have insight from some of these builders? Just more curious than anything else.

There doesn't seem to be any shortage of them for sale, but I'm not sure they are selling.

The real clue would be the demand at the big shops. They had a several year wait, I wonder if that still holds true. The rest of the market seems to have settled a bit with the occasional crazy auction price still making people think it hasn't changed. It definitely has settled but as mentioned above, I think the economy cooling is more in line.

I wouldn't sell now but I cant imagine that someone would ever loose money on a bronco

Since I made a living out the back of early Broncos, I'll never understand what people pay today. It's as though I landed on another planet.

It's not going to cool down. If anything, it's going to trickle down into other classic vehicles, specifically talking about new technologies and with the push of electric. There's a company out here in California that has a sweet electric EB. That's right...an electric Bronco:

The shift has been there, but it's getting stronger and stronger. I love my '73. I would drive it every day, if I could, but with gas being what it is...having and Electric EB doesn't sound too bad...and EEB (Electric Early Bronco).

Some of their builds are strange looking, the took away the classic looks. The grill on that one in the video looks terrible

Not going to happen. the people that can afford to spend that money don't care about interest rates and such like the rest of us well off.

Its the same reason you still see custom homes built in the worst economies, they aren't taking loans to build the mansion or the cool car/bronco.

Ugly grille! Looks cold and sterile IMO.
A different video I saw mentioned a carbon fiber body?

Considering the prize for the schwab PGA event was a classic bronco, I’m thinking the high-end builders are staying busy with that clientele. I think the mid-tier classic collector market has lagged.

Based on what I understand, the Bronco interest is pretty price inelastic, even at the top end of the market. What would be interesting to know is if the builders that are really cranking them out (200 ++ / year) are seeing their backlog decrease.
