    351 w roller mods

Thank you much for the advice. Gonna go with a little more cam than I was previously running, but nothing too big. rpm range of about 1,600 to 5,800. I drive it like I stole it anyway, so should be fun. Thanks again. PS: Whats the best way to measure push rod length? Running roller rockers and...

    351 w roller mods

Hello to all, thinking of changing my 351 w over to roller cam. Can someone help me with what exactly is different that needs to be addressed. Specifically having to do with the timing set, push rods, and lifters/retainers needed. I currently have iron heads but they have been machined with...

    disc brake question...

What is the downside to that sort of set=up? Looked at the Wilwood set up myself but thought it would be to much brake for the ass end. Stock front discs with a adjustable proportion valve and F250 hydro boost already allows the ass end to over brake the front in a emergency stop situation...

    disc brake question...

Was going that route, had already ordered the WH kit but was notified not in stock till mid December. Bought the extreme 31 spline axles and a detroit locker instead and was gonna source the explorer parts myself. Did the pick a part thing yesterday only to see that the parts I sourced wont fit...

    disc brake question...

Could someone please tell me if there is a certain year explorer where the rear disc set-up will bolt to a 77 eb axle? One with the proper bolt spacing and offset that does not need modification. I've searched bunches and seem to have confused myself with all the "late style big bearing, torino...

    disappointed in the end.

trying to get back on track with this issue. Had some personal things come up that I had to take care of. Got some measurements and pics to follow. Looks like right about 9 inches from top of axle tube to bottom of frame. Cannot get a straight measurement as the bump stop w/bracket is in the...

    disappointed in the end.

Paul, Appreciate your interest in looking for a reason or resolution to my problems. I'm running stock gen 1 Lightning wheels with some goodyear mud tires. Don't quite recall the model of tire. No add a leaf that I'm aware of, I will gather pics along with that measurement you requested. I did...

    disappointed in the end.

Went a head and bought WH rear 2 1/2" lift springs alomg with the extreme U bolt kit. This was to replace 2 1.2" lift blacks with stock springs. My 77 EB has double shocks on all four corners. Quality parts that went together well. Also got their extended length perches to set pinion correctly...

Thanks for all the replies. Taking out a dual sump and putting in the same thing just new and hopefully not leaking. Got the one piece pan gasket and also have a lift for working on it and letting the suspension hang. I think I'll go for it and let yall know how it goes. Thanks again, Darrell

    351 swap question???

Looking for yalls expert opinion. I'm swapping in a early 351 windsor into my 77 bronco. Was curious if an oil pan can be swapped out while the motor is still installed? Reason being is I thought I planned far enough ahead by purchasing a new pan on Jan 24th.I scheduled time off for the install...

    77 emision equipment

My 77' has the smog pump on the drivers side with a cast PS bracket below it. Factory stock but does have dealer add on A/C. Might be the difference as the AC comp is located on top passenger side.

    Which Winch???

I'm thinking I will leave it there as it's easily adjusted with just another zip tie. No need to use the custom fabbed mount when we have zip tie technology amongst us. You may copy but just give me credit. Darrell
