1974 Bronco for sale - Updated with pics

Selling a 1974 Bronco, 302 motor, 3-speed manual transmission, Dana 20 transfercase, Dana 44 front axle, 9" rear axle, power steering. Body is in rough shape and the full-size roof was cut down at some point to create a half-cab. Runs and drives, in fact the engine is very quiet.....no knocks...

Its a Sickness When Even Your Dogs Own a Bronco

Those English Bulldogs sure have a lot of personality don't they. Dogs truly are man's best friend. And having them out on the trail is a lot of fun as long as it's with a small group of trucks with drivers you know and trust. This is my favorite pic of dogs and off-roading. Not an EB...

    Choice btw 351 w/C6 or EFI 302 w/AOD 4-speed

SaddleUp, are you saying the the 4wd-application AOD out of the '89 F-150 will bolt directly to an NP205? That would be the ideal solution.

    Choice btw 351 w/C6 or EFI 302 w/AOD 4-speed

I'd love to see that. Do you have it saved somewhere where you could email it to me? Just found out that the AOD out of the '89 F-150 is actually for a 4wd application. Sorry for the confusion but I bought this engine, tranny and computer last winter sight unseen from a friend for $200. He...

    Choice btw 351 w/C6 or EFI 302 w/AOD 4-speed

Thanks guys. If I use the AOD with the 351, will I need to do anything special with the wiring to control the shifts?

    Choice btw 351 w/C6 or EFI 302 w/AOD 4-speed

Looks like I have some choices to make for my '74 Bronco build-up. Back in the winter I acquired a fuel-injected 302 with the 4-speed auto out of a '89 F-150. Then last week I bought my neighbor's 1980 camperized Econoline van for the 351 and C6. I already know that both engines are tall for...

    Will a 5.0L from an '89 F-150 make a good swap?

Thanks for the great info Saddleup. I can work around the height of the intake if it will make the swap easier. Thanks again dfor your help.

    Will a 5.0L from an '89 F-150 make a good swap?

Thanks for the replies guys. So what you're both saying is that I'm better off finding an EFI system from a car because: 1) The intake is lower and I'll have less clearance issues at the hood. 2) There are more wiring harness options available to make the swap easier. So I should be...

    Will a 5.0L from an '89 F-150 make a good swap?

My buddy has a 5.0L EFI motor with the 4-speed auto tranny out of an '89 F-150. He was going to use it in his Toyota 4runner project rig, but he changes ideas like I change underwear.%) So yesterday he made a deal for a Chevy 305 powertrain and guess what.........yup, he's selling the Ford...

    455 Olds in an EB???

Well, I think you guys talked me out of it. :p The 302 in it seems to run fine so it might be more practical to just stick with that for now. Thanks for all the input.

    455 Olds in an EB???

My friend hit a deer yesterday with his low-mileage 455-powered Oldsmobile and it looks like the insurance company will probably write-off the car. Would this engine be a good swap for a '74 Bronco? I know I know......a GM motor in a Ford........but I can get this really cheap and it's in...

    Smitty cage transformation

That's an interesting idea - I like it. Have any pics of this?

    Smitty cage transformation

The cage looks great. I really like how you are integrating the rear seat and belts into the cage. Just one question.......why not weld in sections for the front seats to mount to as you did for the rear seat? In my opinion if there is ever a high-speed rollover where the cage separates from...

Who has a Fibreglass tub on their EB? How do you like it?

A good friend has a fiberglass tub on his CJ-7. This is his daily-driver, but he also offroads it and really flexes the thing out from time to time. He also drives it all winter.....and our temps get as cold as -38 degrees here. He's had it for about three years now with out any issues at...

    Pics of my Tuffy collection

I'll third that request. You did a great job on the tube work for the cage. It really does seem very well thought-out, as I'm sure the rest of the truck is.

    What's the difference btw 351Windsor & 351 Cleveland?

Pardon my ignorance but in researching EBs this past week I keep reading about guys with 351W & 351C in their rigs. For some reason I know that the W is for Windsor and the C is for Cleveland, simply indicating which plant each motor was manufactured in. But what are the physical differences...
