Putting the battery back in it. Need to buy a new battery though. Should think about doing a little more to it before I wheel it but I doubt I will get around to it.

Replaced the u-joints in my D44 axles.
Seems the PO lost a backplate bolt at some time and replaced it with an intruder with a long shoulder. The shoulder ended up extending into the D44 and damaging about 2/3rds of the threads. Drilled, tapped and helicoiled.
Proper bolt on the left, intruder on the right.

All good now.

Hey CA-bro, my project is nearing the time for going up on a rotisserie also and have been scratching my head as to build one or buy one. Yours looks like it is made from two engine stands plus the wood and casters. It looks like it won't rotate 360 degrees but it should rotate enough for you to work on the bottom of the tub. Am I right? How hard is it to rotate? (Can you rotate it by yourself or do you need help)? If yours is functional enough to get the job done without breaking the bank I will probably build a similar one. My tub is currently bolted to a 2-wheel dolly on each end. Can move around but not flip. Thanks for sharing. Wart.

Thanks Wart... it ended up balanced well, one guy can easily flip it one side to the other
I might brace the corners so it doesn't want to come out of square...easy for one guy to move around the shop...didn't take to long to put together

Drove to work then gas leak

Drove it to work so I'll be able to check out my Duff lights going home tonight---wanted to add some gas and did. Turned around and it was leaking so I crawled underneath and it was leaking just past the drivers side rear tire where the two hard lines run together. I just assumed that a hole had rubbed between the two lines. I have overfilled it before and it leaked at the filler hose.

Watered down any gas and gave it quick bath and moved it forward 10 feet to keep an eye on it---no more leaking--I know I didn't lose that much gas. Will do some research next to see if leaks in the hard lines is a common problem.

Added spring shims. Installed rear axle after having shock mounts relocated inboard to clear disc brake assemblies. Replaced oem style front spring perches for heavier duty versions. Tried out Eastwood's inside the frame spray paint coating adapter (made a mess).

It must be my evaporation line leaking in the one spot--it sure does hate it when I overfill---now to learn how others are capping theirs off
