Its a 1979. She is solid and original though. Just how I like em. I honestly don't know anything about these as Ive only been truly interested in earlies. Where are the best places to buy parts for these things?

Nice lookin' Bronco... Congrats! Many of our EB sponsors have parts for these, Tom's, Wild Horses and Bronco Graveyard to name a few. I forget which one but that's where I went for my '92's soft top. I also go to LMC Truck for stock replacement parts and also used CARiD Auto for my headlight and grill upgrade.

That and many full size F150 parts of the era will fit without needing to pay that snooty bronco mark up:)

Looks good! And the '78 and '79's are really starting to appreciate I believe. Not too long ago I had four Bronco's, three EB's and a '96 I had shipped from New Mexico. I just wanted to see what the big Bronco's were like. I enjoyed it but my wife wasn't a big fan and with our limited parking space I sold it. Congrats on your '79!

Thanks guys! I've checked most of the EB sites. They seem little lacking in the big bronco department compared to the earlies. LMC seems to have some stuff.. I'm bringing it home tomorrow and will start to figure out what I need. Can't wait to see it parked next to the 69.. I will post some pics tomorrow!

My HS friend had a '79 and talk about tough. Damn think was a tank. If I can find one for a good price, I might snatch it up.

Congrats! I would like to buy a 78-79 that solid and at a reasonable price but think that train has left the station.

Nice looking bronco it looks to have some freewheeling strips on it . I like the 78/79 almost if not better than the early broncos they drive and ride way better. It is going to be cool sitting next to your early. Here is some pictures of my 79 and 72.As far as parts there is not the support like the early broncos that I have found. I have also join the full size bronco group and it is not as friendly to use as this site is. Both of mine are autos a 4 speed would be cool to have in one too.

I got the big bronco home yesterday and got to fully inspect everything... Super solid truck but it was painted at some point which I should have realized. I think I was enamered by how solid it was and how cool it looks that I was ready to buy. Runs good but seems like some of the dash wiring may be iffy. I cut the AC on high yesterday for a minute just to see what would happen and im pretty sure something was melting or catching fire. Tough to check all these things out when you're by yourself. I dont want to get too far from the switches or ignition. Haha

I know its a big one so if y'all dont wanna see it here just let me know. I sure like this bronco forum better than any of the other ones I've seen so it's my go to to chat and share.

Here are some pics... I got her buffed last night and will post pics later of that. She looks good though!

Man I would love to have that.

I passed a few years ago on a local 1978 that had been completely rebuilt for 13,000K, I mean it was cherry but I spoke to someone that supposed to know and I passed.

Very soon after it was sold and I started seeing similar rigs in the 25K range. Really kick myself. Very hard to find solid 78-79 broncos that have been turned into mud trucks or rusted out here in the mid west.

Great find!

They are getting hard to find in solid shape and they are going up in price... Ive never really had a thing for big broncos but this ones paint and graphics spoke to me... I paid for it too. It definitely wasn't a $2000.00 purchase however I wish it was. haha. Im hoping to clean this one up and make it a reliable driver and then maybe send it down the road unless I fall in love with it. I will say, I am glad it has power steering...

Very Cool!
I would love to have a full size again. But I got no room for one. I would have to let one of my EBs go and thats not happening!
