Re: Upper Ball Joint Sleeve Socket Use

Airman,

Is there a special procedure for setting up the tension on the upper ball joint during installation. I have the sleeve socket and I am installing the knuckles tonight; I won't to make sure I do it right the first time.

Thanks,
Chris

Ha....look at my grammar.......I WANT to make sure I do it right the first time.

Thanks

I've been told that NAPA carries a socket for this also, but I couldn't find it anywhere on their website.

I simply made my own out of a cheap 13/16" impact socket. Worked fine - $ 1.99.

eBronc,

Did you have a procedure for setting the tension on the upper ball joints with the sleeve socket when you were putting it back together? Do I torque the sleeve to a certain amount? Or until it feels tight enough, thanks.

Chris
