I am trying to keep my tailgate user friendly by using a locking latch (no anti theft tab). I am looking for an alternative to screwing metal and rubber drain tabs to it. I have cut the side metal weatherstrip brackets short (1971) because I run both top on and off.
Question: would using 66-69 tailgate drains and fabricating a removable metal bracket, be a good functioning solution to not screw the newer drains onto the tailgate, and be removable when the top is off? Do they work well? Thanks.
