Rock slider to frame and cage ideas

I'm looking for ideas to make new sliders the will tie to the frame and also the cage. The PO just welded rectangular tubing to the rockers, and it is starting to bend the body. I am not sure if I should use some sort of bushing between the slider and the cage to allow for some movement and twist of the frame along with the body bushings?

Then at slider rear to frame. Also goes up thru floor because he made all of roll cage tie into frame, seats bolt direct to cage, as well as safety belts, etc. Even rear shock mounts are part of this.

I've always thought of making frame mounted rock sliders out of 2x6 or 2x8 and mount an exocage to it. Bolt the cage to the sliders and rear bumper for easy removal and no drilling holes in the floorboards.

No frame flex in this thing! This pic shows the fully triangulated roll cage that is also part of the same sliders, original frame, shock mounts etc. Kind of like a tube frame rock crawler built "inside" a '66 Bronco body!;D

Here are some ideas I looked at, then took that info and went my own route.
Here is my thread on CB about it.

Complete walk thru and pic are here. From the rocker delete to the finial project.

Some CB help on the rockers. And a great slider thread.

1st pic is a bad way to tie roll cage to frame. I have since hacked all that off and made it right. The rest are free ideas...and some of how mine went.

Front and rear bumpers the same way. And I have a piece of receiver tube on the front of my trailer I can mount that winch about any where. And I have a set of QD cable with jumper cable clamps so I can use it on other trucks not wired.

Agreed, I always liked the idea of having the receiver front and rear, never considered the sides however.

As requested by a member. And on the front and rear bumpers I have it set up for a 2 lock pin design.

I keep my excess power cables (to reach the winch in all mounted positions) coiled up where the passenger side vent screen use to be.
