I have acquired a 1966 original bench seat with the group of parts that I just bought. Thanks to smoot posting about his NOS one I found out what i had. My question is this, It is in really good shape, no tears, no broken stiches, 1 spot has a wear smudge but I think it needs to be cleaned better but I didn't want to brush it. The frame however has surface rust on it so should I repaint/powdercoat it or should I leave it as is. I am going to sell/trade it so I don't want to detract from it by doing something to it I shouldn't.

Chuck

My bet is it has been already recovered sometime in its 50 years, but it will still bring strong money and the next owner will address the frame issues when they adapt it for what they want.
