It's a local Bronco that I have known about since the early '90's. The owner drove it some to work and I talked to him occasionally. It was parked in the late '90's or early 2000's and I talked to him then about the possibility of purchasing it, but he wasn't interested in selling. I talked to him more maybe 6-8 yeas ago, but he was still not interested in selling.

He became sick and passed probably 2-3 years ago. The Bronco along with the estate of the late owner was involved in a complicated ordeal, but I tried to stay in the loop. Last week, I was contacted and asked if I still wanted the Bronco.

Now, you know the rest of the story..:cool::cool:

I love to hear stories like this! It shows good people that are persistent can still eventually get the opportunity to buy trucks when circumstances allow them.

Apparently 2018 was the year to buy brown Broncos that have been in the same family for a long time. Goes to show that you have to stay involved! Congrats on a new addition!

My Bronco's in the shop getting a new exhaust, so I turned my attention back to working on my garage mezzanine.

Been putting off laying the inch and an eighth tongue and groove...cuz that shit is heavy, but knuckled down and got it done today along with railing supports, temporary railing, and honch braces.

Next up is designing a turn buckle system to mount under the mezzanine, so I can drive my bronco under it, hook the turnbuckles and straps to my cargo rack, lift it off, let it hang and drive the bronco out.

But if it’s not a ‘70 you’re going to have to find at least one more, lol.....of course I don’t believe that will be a problem, will it? Congrats Dennis!

You are right LUBrLuvR! It's not hard to create an excuse to have to have another one!...

As luck would have it, it's a '75. But...that's the lowest production year so.....

I really like the extra space and the look of your mezzanine, Audifan...

It's been a year or so since I posted back on my Picture Story thread, so.....
We poured 30 yards of concrete in front of the shop Friday and I worked so hard on it that we took off on Saturday and went to Mount Cheaha Sate Park for a Bronco Picnic!

Sorry about duplicate pictures! I guess that over 2400 feet of rebar deserves two pictures! About 800 feet of the rebar was 1 1/4" and the rest was #6 or 3/4" ... I don't know what 1 1/4" rebar is in the number system.... maybe #10? Franko can answer that!

I need to do this to my shop, but keep putting it off. I've been to Mt Cheaha several times on motorcycles. Love to ride there...not as high as our Tennessee mountains but it will do for a cool outing. Hahaha.;D . Thanks for the update

Hey Terry. We have been putting it off too.....for at least 3 years! We had an eight inch concrete speed bump right at the doors!

Cheaha was beautiful yesterday and there were plenty of motorcycles riding too! Yes, it's just like your Tennessee mountains but smaller. Elevation is 2407 if my memory is correct.

You are right Howard. Rebar adds so much strength to concrete. There will be some heavy stuff on it and a Bronco occasionally! 4000 psi concrete 7 1/2" to 8" thick and the rebar. I don't what to ever have to replace it!

Heavy trucks will crumble standard 4" concrete like a cracker!

I’ve been tearing out walls and making big door openings in the new place. Lots of triple microlam headers. Old shop in Atlanta was just over 1000 sf. The new place in NC will be just under 3000. Waiting on elechicken to drop in a new service so I can start wiring and locate the lift.

That’s going to be a nice space Brett. I like those curvy ceiling joists.
