Looking at upgrading to the modern 17in rims. I like the machined, forged, and chrome look. Looking to what you guys have put on your rigs. Tires will be either 33 or 35.

33's with 17" rims doesn't leave much sidewall.

I would say At least 35's with a 17" rim.

Why not 15" wheels?

I have a set of 17" US Mag Indy 101 wide oval slots and ~32" tires for my big truck. Plenty of sidewall for anything shy of a pure crawler.

Part number you are looking for is U10117908535
17 x 9, 5x5½" bolt circle, 3.5" backspacing

Method makes some great looking wheels. Check out their website. The NVs pictured above come in the satin Black or a Machined look too.

Pictured are 285/70/17s mounted on the 17x8.5 NV Machined. Bronco has a 2 1/2" Lift.

Do you have any rubbing issues with the 4.5bs. I keep reading that the best BS is 3.5 but finding 17" wheel with 3.5 bs that I like has proven impossible. In fact finding a 17" wheel with 3.5bs is just about impossible.

I have rubbing issues because of the 35's. I adjusted the bump stop on the knuckle to prevent it. I lose a little turning radius.

I'm doing a 3.5sl with 2" BL and want to run a 37" tire but
I may have to settle for a 35" tire.

That is the combo I’m looking at. Just having a hard time dropping the coin for the rims and tires.

Got them all at 4wheelparts.com. Black Friday sale, $75 visa card from BFG, free mounting, balancing, and delivery. It was still pricey, but I think I saved 25% off their normal price.

You might want to check craigslist (where I sell my used rims), and someone here was selling a used set of MT 35x17 tires with only 1000 miles on them.

Thanks for starting this thread! Was just about to start my own. I’ve had 15” rims and 33” tires for the 8 or 9 years I’ve owned my bronco. I just went from 35’s to 37’s on my dodge 2500 and I’m ready to invest in wheels for the Bronco and put these 35’s to use.

Just wish there were more pics of chrome options :^)

Where are you guys shopping for wheels? How are you searching?

I've noticed that I can't search for 68 bronco wheels but I can search for 77 bronco wheels. Problem is it seems to be hung up on the 15" size when I do it like that.

Start with the 5x5.5 bolt pattern. Then go from there for wheel size. Remember that Back Spacing is very important too especially with a LUBR.
