Dana 44 hp bracket and wedges question

I just bought these Full width and believe they are 78-79. The wheel pattern is 5x5.5
Going under a 1976 Bronco

Someone welded leaf spring seats to them and I am in the process of cutting and grinding.
Under the leaf spring seat on the Passenger side there is a bracket that looks like and original bracket of some sort.
I am wondering what that might be?

And another question do the 1978/79 Broncos use the same C bushings as the earlier Broncos?
