Ok here is the deal, I ordered a rebuild kit from JBG and am having problems. The bearing that I pressed on to the front output shaft fits fine on the shaft, but the cup for that bearing won't fit in the hole designed for it in the t-case because it's to small. AND on the other side of that same shaft, the bearing that should go there is a sloppy fit, but once again the cup is the right size for the case. Somebody else had this experience???, this is one of those things that really chaps my ass.:'( :'( ?:? :( :-X

Not all D20 use the same size front output shaft bearings. I believe the later model ones use a larger bearing than the older ones. I bought a kit from WH several years ago and it came with both sizes just to keep everyone happy?? I called them about it and they said they furnish both sizes because internal parts get changed and it was cheaper to supply both than send the correct ones after the customer took his case apart. I just looked in a parts book and it says 66-72 takes 2ea 14131 & 14276 and 73 up takes 2ea 14116 & 14276. Not sure which is the bearing and which is the race. J shift takes the larger bearing.
