crank sensor

SOMEONE told us that you could buy a crank sensor that comes with it's own bracket to mount onto the timing cover rather than having to change the entire front cover ...It needs to fit the 1983 lincoln motor...the cover than came on the motor doesnt have the hole for the sensor ....SO it more work or a bolt on ...any one ....

I was looking for a timing pointer for my Explorer motor with no success...until I discovered the Crank sensor incorporates the pointer...some places wanted over a $100 for a pointer. You can pick up a crank sensor with "bracket" (pointer) for about $20-25. I would imagine its the same with the Lincoln.
