Just thought I would update everyone on a post I created about 6 months ago, looking for people interested in making an on/off road expedition down the Baja Peninsula in Early Broncos. Here's where we are;
- We meet in Yuma, AZ on May 4th to start our journey
- There 13 EB's and a chase truck making the trip
- Much of our journey will travel along Baja 1000 and Mexican 1000 routes
- We will be on dirt about 70% heading South, and about 40% heading North.
- We will cover about 2,500 miles in Baja
- Our first night in Mexico is at the historic HorsePower Ranch, outside of Ensenada
- We will spend nights in Punta San Carlos, Bahia de Los Angeles, San Ignacio, Loreto (multiple nights), La Paz, Guerro Negro and San Felipe.
- We are going to see 7 of the remaining 8 "in tact" 17th century missions still standing in Baja
- We'll slide in some scuba diving, snorkeling, deep sea fishing, etc.. with some free time on the Sea of Cortez
The itinerary is aggressive, but I think our Herd of Broncos is up for the task. I'm hoping some of the others making the trip will chime in on their thoughts. This should be a blast!!
I've been working hard on prepping my Bronco for the trip... Here's what I've been preparing for the journey...
