Okay so 4.56 it is....
In the pics posted can someone tell me if that is an open differential or not?
Also, for the 9" since I am going to the 4.56 R&P, I'll have to change out the differential as well?
With new install kit?
This is a 28 spline ford 9, with 11" drum brakes.
Am I better served trying to find a big bearing 31 spline, and doing the gear upgrade in that?

From the looks of the ring gear bolt heads it looks like a traction lock diff. No need to change a 9" diff when changing ratios unless you want to add a locker. 31 spline is something to consider doing now if you plan to beat on it.
