Here is what I have been working on this evening. I'm going to mount my ECU, relays, EFI test port, fuel shut off and Fuse box all in the glove box. I started laying it out with a cardboard cutout but I'll make a mounting plate out of sheet metal. I traced a cutout for the fuse box on the sheet metal that I'll cut out with a jig saw. I also got the Transmission and D20 hung on the mounts and supported with a jack stand. I lifted it up as a unit and it was a serious chore working by myself. I still need to make a cover plate and do a little trimming for my Twin sticks. I also mounted up my relocated hydroboost. This is taking forever working weekends and evenings.

777mechanic has EFI fuses, test ports and relays mounted in glove box. You might send him a pm on the CCB website. I couldn't find any pics.

I finally got the engine back in today. A lot to do still but now that the engine is in I can start working on the smaller stuff in the evenings after work A couple more weeks and a few more parts and I hope to be done. My transmission cooler should be here sometime this week and I need to get new plugs and a few fittings for the brake lines. I'm really happy with the new Hydroboost location. I now have a boatload of space between it and the intake.

Check out what I got today! A new Derale plate cooler with fan for my C4. I just need to make up a mount for it and the second plate cooler I'm going to run with it in series.

Its been a while but I've been slowly plugging away. I just have a little wiring under the dash and I still need to install my transmission cooler and tie up the loose ends. Here are a few photos of where I'm at.

This afternoon, a friend of mine brought me a set of Hella Off road lights that were on his Land Rover. It was going to cost him more to have it fixed than it was worth so he donated it and pulled the lights off before he got rid of it. They look like they are pretty nice but they are big so I'm not sure how the hell I'm going to mount them. I have a few photos of the lights as well.

Got my James Duff hood shocks today and put them in this evening. Its a BIG improvement over the old bent up hood prop. I liked the layout of the Duff mounting system better than some of the others that are out there. It looks very stout and I'm happy with how well it came out. Here are photos of the shock kit and a before and after shot.

Today I got my Transmission cooler mounted up. I mounted my cooler with fan under the passenger side floor. I had planned to run a plate cooler that I already had as a primary cooler and run my fan/cooler as a secondary. Unfortunately, the plate cooler I had was a bit large so I could not find a good location to mount it so that it had decent air flow and didn't hang down below the rocker. I ordered a rail type finned cooler but they sent me the wrong one and it was way to long for my chosen mounting location. So, for now I'm going to run the Derale fan cooler as a stand alone and I'll add the rail cooler into the mix once I have the correct one. After talking to others who have mounted coolers in a similar manner, I learned that rocks and gravel can get tossed up by the tires and get caught up in the fan making all manor of noise and doing untold damage. In light of this info, I built a small cage from 1/2" square tube and expanded steel. I hope this will keep the rocks and debris out of the fan.
Any suggestion on the wiring? Should I wire this to a key on source so that shuts off when the key is off or should it go to a constant hot so it can continue to cool with the key off?

Now if I can get the rest of this thing together and get it up and running, maybe I can go camping and wheeling over the Memorial day weekend. That's the goal but its not looking to good. The wife and kids will NOT be happy if I don't get this done in time.

I do like your idea of that cage for protecting the fan from rocks and etc. Looks good also. As for the wiring i would recommend having it hooked up to a rocker switch to turn off-on when ever you want to. I have a friend that has a switch and turns the fan on after off roading to let it cool down for awhile. I think that would be a better option imo.
