Rebuilding 66 steering column. Question: how remove pin holding shifter handle to collar ? The pin is retractable on both sides, so assumed press pins in under collar side and pull handle out. No luck. Some web info says drive pin out to remove but seems strange since both sides retractable. Don't want to get too horsy and ruin old piece. Suggestions?

Got it ! Pins do push in and handle pulls out. Needed more hands and PB Blaster ! Spring gunked up. Forgot first rule of old Broncos: always start with PB !

Punch pin or roll pin out from bottom (not top).

Thanks. This is a '66 with 2 small pins with a small spring between pins. See 7B125.
