Negative battery cable connection to block

Understood. i shouldve clarified, its the original 302 block that came with the 76 bronco from the factory. Broncobowsher makes a good point that the accessory hole looks like it mates perfectly with the explorer serp accessory bracket. Theres not a bolt coming from the other side. I just got...

Negative battery cable connection to block

I do know it’s the block that came with the bronco. I started to chase the threads but didn’t have luck starting the 3/8 chaser. It almost seemed to big. Went down a size and could tell it was too small. Started to second guess myself by wondering if it was metric but was certain that...

Negative battery cable connection to block

Im trying to connect the negative battery cable to engine block on the passenger side front part of block where it was connected before engine removal and machining. Does anyone know the bolt size of the threaded hole? See arrow in attached pic. Ive tried several different sized bolts and none...

    Exhaust options

I have BCB's shorty headers and 2 into 1 exhaust that goes into a Gibson Superflow round muffler. Everything fits perfectly. Is there a ready made/pre bent/off the shelf 3 inch exhaust pipe that can go from the muffler back to dump behind the rear passenger tire? Thanks

    Got it. Thanks!

3g alternator and painless wiring harness

Thanks Paul. I thought it was a 3g and don't know the difference between the 3g and 4g. The plug “claws” on your plug show on the left and mine are on the right, would that reverse the top and bottom orientation of the color of wire order you list in your message?

3g alternator and painless wiring harness

I'm installing the 3g alt with painless harness. On the alternator voltage regulator plug, the wires aren't color coded and in not sure which wires correspond to the yellow, green/red and orange to connect to the wiring harness. Is there a way to determine which voltage regular wire goes to the...

Running fuel line w/ Explorer Serp

Thanks for the reply Broncobowsher. I had purchased and installed BC Bonc's steel fuel line which placed the rigid line on the drivers side frame rail towards the front of the motor. I was initially wishing I could've routed the fuel line up from the rear of the motor. Luckily for me, I could...

Running fuel line w/ Explorer Serp

Paul, The routing worked perfectly. Can you send a part number or pic of the type of clamp setup you're referring to that you used for the ps hose to secure it to the water pump stud? I'd like to secure that and the fuel hose a little more. I've never set up the type of dual clamp config...

Running fuel line w/ Explorer Serp

First pic shows my ps hose and I can route fuel line right next to it. Second pic is where I think the fuel line would go up and route behind radiator hose. I think that's what you meant. Looks like it'll work!

Running fuel line w/ Explorer Serp

Folks, I've installed the Explorer serpentine swap and now wondering how you run fuel line from drivers side frame rail to the front of the carburetor. There doesn't seem to be an easy way to keep the fuel line in front of the engine block. The only option I'm seeing is running it on the...

These heater hoses give me anxiety

I thought I'd add the Dayco hoses that worked best for me. Credit for the background on using these hoses goes to member red hot71: Dayco 80405. Use from intake to heater control valve. Dayco 80406. Use from heater core to water pump. This one's 48 inches long. Dayco 87678. Use from...

Reverse rotation water pump heater hose connection

Broncobowsher, I changed the thread heading, it’s reverse rotation and not reverse flow. Thanks for clarifying Englewoodcowboy, thanks for the info!

Reverse rotation water pump heater hose connection

Folks, A while back someone had a very good and simple diagram of which heater hose connects to each of the explorer serp water pump barbs. I’ve used the search function and can’t find it. Can someone direct me to the thread? Thanks in advance!
