I have a 76 with a 2.5 suspension and 1" body lift. I'm getting a trans from a local vender

Any advice before I start ordering parts would be appreciated as well

All of the Bronco vendors sell the same kit. There is only one manufacturer other than Advance Adapters and they only make an engine to transmission adapter.

kinda confused by the pricing and content

Some kits start at $489 and up to $1,200 and some kits contain more parts than others. Just wondering what's the difference

I bought the kit from Toms, and it worked out great, most of the parts are AA and every piece was beefy and fit great, the only hiccup was clocking the transfer case but you'll have to do that with whatever kit you buy.

Just more parts usually.
The $400 kits you speak of are probably just for the trans to transfer case adapter section. Whereas the more expensive ones include the adapter for the trans-to-bell housing.
And more expensive ones include clutch options as well.

Other than that, it might just be the usual variation in pricing from one reseller to the next. But usually we're all close on that score.

Sorry I couldn't pinpoint each and every difference. But those are the basic variations.
Other than Andrew's Mints and floss version.;D Which I thought was pretty damn funny. I think he's thinking Mint 400 though.
