What color should I paint the cage?

So, I was all set to paint my cage white and the wife says "I am not digging the white and it should be black!".

So, white or black cage on this color Bronco? I am still voting white, but you know how much weight the Husband vote has, hardly anything.

Darn it, I put a typo in my poll and can't edit.

I've been a fan of blk. It hides well with the hardtop on and goes well with a blk soft top. I also like the semigloss look. I've got a used Crab Cage I plan to have powdercoated in blk semi gloss. It's rusted all over so $150 I figure is money well spent.

I bought white Herculite fabric to sew the top, so the top is to be white. Figured white top might be cooler. That is swaying me to also have the cage white.

I have an orange rig with white roll cage and white family bikini top. I like the look it somewhat resembles the hard top coloring on the Bronco.

Is your interior white or the parchment color. If it's parchment a white roll bar will look way off next to it. Go black.
If your interior is the bright white then I say yes to a white roll bar.

I painted the cage in my Chrome Yellow 71 with appliance epoxy spray paint. IIRC it was Rustoleum but may have been Krylon. I used an off white color. I believe both manufacturers call it biscuit or bisque. It is very close to the Wimbledon white. These are the best pictures I could find.

Interior is parchment. The color I plan to paint is the Wimbledon white, which is really an off white like the grill and wheels. And the color the hard top should be, but the top I purchased the seller had painted white, white. But the paint he used seems indestructible, so will leave it until it needs painting again.

I think the Wimbledon white will match good with the interior. This is tough deciding though.

Thanks for the pics. Makes me lean farther to the Wimbledon white. I have some paint left over from doing the grill and wheels. I might need to buy another half pint to make sure I have enough. I want to use some automotive paint so its a tougher finish.

The paint I used is an epoxy. It is extremely tough.

I voted for black, but white is really a good option too. But don't tell her she's crazy. Show her some pics! I'm thinking now that white will look more like it belongs on the truck rather than an afterthought.

x2 on the epoxy paint. Very tough, used it on airplanes and cars.

What color did you paint your dash and door panels? Parchment or WW?

Have you considered body color too?

I voted to go with Wimbledon white. To me, black would make the cage look like an afterthought - not really part of the original design.

I have always been a fan of black roll cages, but my 77 came with a Wimbledon white cage and top and I have really grown to like it. I think some colors go better with white and orange is one of them. Go with W. white.

Black. I almost don't care for anything white if I was to change or pick a color.

Even my skin looks better with a tan ;D
