Guys,
I am about to start my attempt at building a cage... my friend and I built a bender over the last couple of weeks, and we are ready to start building our cage/bumpers... I have heard wonderful things about the Bend Tech Pro software, is anyone who currently has it interested in possibly selling it to me, used? Maybe you're through with your cage/bumpers?
Thanks!

you'd think a guy named jesus wouldn't need software to figure out how to build a cage! ;) ;D

When I was working at All 4 Fun Offroad I used Bend Tech Pro quite a bit. It was simple and easy to use and it was nice to be able make an assembly of all the pieces before bending them so you can see what the finished product will look like. I designed a few cages for FS Broncos and BroncoIIs with it. We also use in my welding class at college. I think its a fair price compared to buying a program like Solid Works or Autocad to design a cage.

BroncKrawler, I totall agree... I'm just kinda short on funds at the moment... and I just rounded up enough money to buy/build a bender and die, so I'm just giddy about bending something ;D that's why i'm looking for someone who may not have any need for the software anymore to buy from :)

I have used the bend tech software and it was pretty useful but I have to say that I also had great success just bending stuff the hard way . There is a tech. article on .... pirate , that shows you how to get started and I "Bilt" 8 or 9 cages that way ;) and it's free (bonus) :)

I have autocad at work and we do 3d. What is the radius of the dies for 2 inch tubing. I need that to draw up the cage.

If you are bending manually, its just simple geometry. But there are sites for electrical conduit that have quick programs to use online.

I love my BendTech EZ3D, it is worth every penny in time saved, headaches avoided, and fewer screwed up bends... IMHO that is..

No kidding - as expensive as tube is now it pays for itself quickly.

I just wanted to bump this thread... I'm still looking for someone that wants to possibly help a fellow Bronco enthusiast out and maybe cut some of the cost from their original purchase................ anyone? :)

Well, my friend and I that are gonna build cages are planning on building somewhat intricate cages with multiple bends in some of the pieces, so we would probably benefit from the software. The Pirate link is great, but while we're figuring out exactly how to do the cage, it would help to see the 3d image :) still searchin fellas... THANKS!!
