Hey folks... I'm gonna build some rear bumpers pretty soon and just wanna see what y'all have come up with. I'll be using 2x4 rectangle tubing with slants at the lower edges. I have that part figured out but I also want it to wrap around for a little QP protection. I've seen them on other broncos but never took the time to see how they were put together.

Let's see what ya got!

Made mine out of 4X6 rectangular tube. I tried to match the angles/facets of my front Logan's bumper. Sorry, not the best pics. They wrap under the bobbed rear quarters.

rear bumper

Heres a bumper I built a few years ago out of 1/4" plate I had a ton of time in it but it will be there.

I took a piece of 2x6 .120 wall and cut it to fit the width and beveled each side....cut in a receiver hitch and found some horses used for ornament gates and welded them on for accent.... then added the wrap arounds to protect the corners of the rear quarters.....

Here's mine. 3 X 5" tube, 0.120 wall if I remember right. Built the bumpers in '96. Second Bronco they've been on. I wasn't so concerned about rock clearance so I didn't taper the ends. More worried about backing into stumps for my use.
