Reaming How deep

you just need to constantly check when you get close. have the tre next to your drill press and use it as your gauge.

K but how deep does the tie-rod go into the kuncke ( not triny to be a smarta$$)

On mine I did as Mav has said and ran the nut on and off and when the carter pin was almost ready to fit i stopped. After torking the nut the pin would slide in. Don't go to deep. go a little at a time.

The problem I ran into was that there wasn't enough shank to the TRE to put the cotter pin in. The Ford knuckle was thicker than the Chevy.
