I am in the process of having a new ax15 trans installed in my 72 Bronco. Bought the full kit from Wild Horses and having a local tranny shop do the install... i'm too old to do that kind of work any more. With the value of these old rigs rising higher everyday, I feel the investment is worth it. Total costs will be around $ 4200.00 to maybe $4500.00. I look at it this way... i bought the Bronco in 1976 for $3100.00 but then gas was under $1.00 per gallon. Over time the investment may get me some of that money back when gas hits $5.00 per gallon!!!
