I normally just make setup bearings out of the old carrier bearings but they got destroyed in the removal process. Does anyone have some they can loan me or a place where they are cheap?

I broke down and bought another set of bearings and clearances them witha grinder. I would send them to you, but I have another axle to set up.

Bummer! My gears and install kit just showed up and I am ready to set up the gears but I need setup bearings so I don't ruin my final bearings.

Anyone else? Robert "SC74" had the same problem as me and needed to cut them off. Old bearings will work.
