Insurance Question

I’m unsure if they pay the total amount without depreciation, I insured it for 50k and I pay 660 a year. They asked how I came to that price of 50k and I used the calculator off their website for it I believe. I heard Hagerty is the best and I plan to switch to them after my year is up with American. I was kinda tapped out on funds after buying my bronco so I went with the cheaper insurance option at the time.
Sorry for the late response. Hagerty contacted me to indicate the value of my truck had increased over the prior years since last update. From the information I had given them the prior they gave me the description and value they would insure for each level of quality; from driver up to concours. I insured it for the value that best fit the condition of my truck. If it was destroyed or stolen and never recovered, they will write the check for the amount I have been paying premium for.
I have never shopped other companies because the way Hagerty operates and their high involvement in the classic markets gives me a lot of confidence.

reminds me of my thoughts on provenance. I seek value and dont see a need to pay more just cuz so’n so owned it, it wuz garaged @ such’n such place, etc. What value to me is that? I want to work it, daily it, use as designed, and so forth. But function is beauty to me, wife’s gotta pick upa wrench (I certainly cook’n clean) & my house isa home’n nota investment... What I get from Hegarty and others (State Farm, Allstate, AAA, the antique specialists) isa buncha hooey. I can pay lower insurance’n get that ‘extra’ free elsewhere - or from some companies w/o being their customer (@ a premium). I forma relationship w/my agent (enough I hada dream’n we shared abt it) I’ve known 15 yrs or so. That alone is worth some priceless value to me (I hate corporations’n this agent puts a human face on one). Hey, different strokes, no? Helps me think one purchases according to personality. Nuttin wrong there for any of us. I[‘m generally frugal in all I do (value oriented).
