Why does all the frame off resto pics have the front core suppoprt and inner fenders cut off when people are restoring. I'am about to remove the body from mine and am going to put it on a roll around cart I built, so I just had some questions.

So Cal
i cant speak for anyone else, but im taking the front clip off of mine because one of the previous owners did some welding work that looks like crusty snot!! So i figure that if i cut the front clip off now, then the tub will take up less room while im working on the chassis..

1 its a weak spot and easy to cut at that point so it doesnt get bent up.
2 many times the sheet metal attaching points are rusted(very common rust area) and need to be replaced anyways so its a good place just to cut it off again for the reasons above.

Plus, it is very easy to bend when removing, ask me how I found out... and it will make motor removal especially easy.
