Anyone removed the Explorer heater tubes and installed a different heater tube set up in its place?

Does it just unscrew and can be removed while the lower and valve covers are still installed?

yep thats right should just be the one manifold bolt in the rear and unscrew the fitting. ive been taking mine on and off with lower and valve covers in place. but if you do have an explorer motor i am curious about what that front bracket in the picture is bolted to. mine was not an explorer motor

i had mustang tubes but there was no bypass plus the tubes exit straight out the back so there were some clearance issues.. i bought the explorer tubes to put on mine. why do you want to change?

The small tab by the front is for a spark plug wire support. The big tab by the rear is for mating up with one of the stud-bolts that Ford loved to use on late 5.0 engines, in this case one of the lower intake bolts.
