Coby; Glad to see you are back and in a BIG way. I actually wheeled with the Black Cloud out at Badlands a few years ago. It was fun to see her in person. Next iteration is looking off the charts.

On the distributerless subject, I had blast running the Electromotive crank trigger system on a custom turbo set-up early Datusn Z-car. The possibilites for programming and tuning were endless. Without tons of dyno time I was never able to pull the full potential out of the project, but man it was fun.

Looking forward to seeing your progress on this one and hopefully seeing it on the trails one day.

The long awaited new Atlas 4 speed arrived.

Anyone else see a problem with the adapter as it was sent?

Trimmed the studs and got everything to finally fit flush. The whole adapter could have been done better, but in all honesty how many people put a Atlas behind a Chevy tranny, that's behind a HUGE hp Ford motor? Besides, it's not like the company who built it has the word "adapter" in their name

Got some more parts cut. These for the rear axle truss. Still have more planned with it but it is coming together nicely.

Started mock up of the steering mount/front axle truss. Yes it's everyone's favorite, more arts and craft time!

And also started on the tranny/transfer case mount.

I think coby ran out of money

LOL...no; most of the money's been spent already. Fab's been a bit molasses like but engine is coming along. Hogan intake FINALLY came in. Here's a coupla cheesy pics.

Man, I bet that intake cost more than I have in my engine.

You might be right; it was damn pricey. About $4700.

$4700 (plus supercharger $) sitting on a $12 plastic folding chair! Makes me nervous.

Build and parts are awesome. Thanks for sharing Coby! Can't wait to see more Bronco pics (and your wife's "bolt-ons" too for that matter). :D

Damn nice looking work on that intake! That will sure look crazy sticking through the hood! Rat Fink style!! Awesome!
Looks like a monster intercooler sitting in that manifold! What are you planning for an external heat exchanger?

Whats the latest on this build? I miss the updates.

Slow going right now...project was pulled from Aarons shop into my own, and Lane and I have been gearing up in the shop. I'm installing a bridge gantry crane currently and the new Model 53 tubing bender from JD2 should be here first part of July. Motor is waiting on the snout to come in then we're going to dyno it. Colorado is on freakin' fire right now too....and it's hot as hell.

So...slow for the next month or so. And Rocky Mountain Rendezvous is coming up....that's our annual bronco get together near Ouray, CO that I'm heading up, which should be beautiful..that's the first weekend in August.

I'll post more updates as they come available.

I know how you feel. Whenever I plan a big purchase, I estimate the cost and then multiply it x 2 :) This is what $17k looks like on a woman :D

Time for an update!

at the very least I hope your wife got her end of the bargain finalized. Then you can enjoy the cold winters inside with her

I gave my old lady the same gift 6 years ago & it was hands down the best investment to date!
