More pics of the heads.

Neat shape on the port...trying to maximize it.

Intake doesn't look too bad either.

20120414-IMG6223-X2.jpg

Note the deck thickness....apparently that's for nitrous/turbo/supercharger apps for strength. Beefy.

These need a bit of cleaning up/deburring.

So it became apparent today that I have been slacking at posting updates on the fab side of things. If y'all ever start to go through withdrawals, you can always check out all the various photos over on Coby's site here or over at mine here.

With the front links in place, I was able to slide the chassis back onto the table and get it centered and leveled out once again. I placed the rear housing in it's approximate new home. Then started on the nose. Bent up the main halo bar, and a few mini hoops for the shocks, and made a few mock up "compressed" coilovers. And also bent up a lower firewall bar.

Also got a start on the rear axle. Like with the front, we wanted to follow the housing design with our trusses. The upper link mount truss tacked into place:

Had to "french" in a spot to access the fill plug for guys like me with fat fingers.

Then started mocking up the rear bracing.

We added some more structure to the front. Then played around with some of the front sheet metal to figure out how narrow the nose will have to become.

Finally getting some important specs from a couple different manufactures who's parts are still MIA, lead to us being able to have some more "Arts and Crafts time". The made a mock up blower we nicknamed the "Wiffle", and a mock up radiator.

Then Hogan finally returned one of the MANY phone calls to let us know some shocking news. The custom intake they were building for us will be about 6" taller than expected! So with no time to spare we quickly mocked up the new location for the blower. It's going to be tall!

This last one is for all those poor girls I made wear one...

More parts(while Aaron reminisces about his dates in paper bags).

Lunati I beam rods, JE pistons, and the Lunati 4" stroke crank. Fun, fun.

Enough of the rods. Here's a few of the JE pistons. Check out how the valve relief eyebrows cut into the dish....now that's some clearance! Not that we're pushing the valves anywhere near that much throw.

Coby,

Its amazing, you and Blackcloud were really pushing the envelope back in the day.

And don't take this the wrong way, everything looks awesome.

But why does it still have a distributor??!!?? ;D

Thought about going distributorless.....really did. Didn't end up doing it though. Not sure what advantage it would be for this, if any. It was considered.

The folks at TrueHi weren't recommending the upgraded ARB unit though they said they've put them in before. I'm having Aaron put them in after the fact...we've already got the diffs at the shop all setup.

Just to clarify...I'm interested in hearing more about distributorless...got some thoughts and some sites/threads to check out for more info?
