I'm adding 2 guages to my stock dash (small clock and tach, both from ford racing and real purty)

To make room for the new guages, I am going to be moving the ignition down to the bottom of the dash and am a little nervous about cutting out the strange shaped hole that the ignition sits in.

I am planning on using a drill attachment (hole saw) to make the initial circular hole and use a hand file and dremmel tool to cut out the notches. I guess what I am asking is, to those that have done this before, what am I getting myself into. Is this a huge p.i.t.a.?

Judging by how difficult it was just to get the ignition back in the factory location after I took it out to inspect the connection, my guess is that yes, this will really suck.

any advice is appreciated.

thx in advance

Just go for it but be really careful to NOT nick any wires. Remember, measure three times but cut once.
