I got a newer/better column at the Hudsonville swap meet than my '73 had, so I need to hook it up. this new column has a the original but very custom wrap around connector that fits next to the column shaft, so I know I need to get a whole new connector to mat with. More importantly I need the connector pin-outs for it. does anybody have the '75 wiring diagram to reference from??

That's a great old manual for Bronco wiring! but it's the old 66-72 and the full schematics for that are at Bronco GraveYard (and I have those). Now I just need the newer 73-77 column pin-outs..

Swapping a 74-77 column into a 72 bronco.. Want to use the 72 harness, what wires need to go together? It looks straightforward down to the red-black wire, the last two(or three) wires have me confused

'72 uses a 2 wire horn circuit. '74-'77 is one wire. You need to add a horn relay.

circuit 460 to relay terminals 30 and 86
circuit 482 to relay terminal 87
circuit 1 (blue-yellow) wire to relay terminal 85

If you want to use the hazard switch on the column you need to move the white-red wire from the old haz sw to the white-red wire at the column.

Gear indicator light is same power as all other dash lights.

Thanks.. I am keeping the old haz switch(no need for the white-red wire). I am really not worried about the horn working..

Could i do blue-yellow to blue-yellow for the horn and blue-red to solid yellow for the gear indicator?

I am trying to use the 72 column plug(square 7 wire plug) on the 74-77 column wiring (9 wire plug) while they are both out of the truck and on the table

Only if you want a non-working horn and a gear indicator light that will drain the battery when it's parked.

What doesn't make sense?

In order for the horn to work you will need a horn relay, like all '74-'77 Broncos.

Pick any blue-red wire going to a light bulb in the instrument cluster. Add a wire to it to go to indicator wire in the column.
