1966 Frame rail Fuel and Brake line question

Hi Guys,
I'm re-assembling my freshly blasted and powder coated frame on my 66. When I disassembled the truck the long brake line from the front to rear of the truck along the frame rail and the long fuel line (which was plastic) were held to the frame by a PLASTIC double ended clip that "snapped" into the(5) 5/16" holes on the frame and held both lines against the frame with one clip. I see that Toms sells a metal version of this Dual ended clip for the same purpose. I am interested in understanding what the original method for attaching these 2 lines along the frame rail would have been on a 66. I suspect that the original fuel line was NOT plastic but steel? What diameter line would this have been? Any help (Especially Pictures) that you might have of what this should look like would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks!!

I think the original fuel line was plastic. And as far as I know the plastic clips had some kind of a rivet attaching them to the frame. Mines been apart so long I'm not sure of either, but thats what I believe now, and am planning on doing to mine. I got plastic replacement clips from Northeast Classic Ford. If anyone knows better please tell us both.

I've only seen factory nylon/plastic lines some could have been metal ?? tank to switching valve to fuel pump 3/8 line ..fuel pump to carb 5/16 steel line V8.. 6cyl the same not sure..

plastic line retainers on frame push pin style after installed in frame there's a little plastic pin that that pushes in the center to spread the ears out..

WOW! I'm kinda stunned.. I never would have guessed plastic.. I guess my set-up was the original deal as I have a plastic line and plastic snap in clips. Thanks for the lead on the fuel line from JBG...
Cheers!
