I’m going to look at a 1966 U13 tomorrow. How can I tell if it’s legit? I’ve seen a photo of the title, vin number and a newer id tag…. All of those match up.

If the VIN is stamped in the frame in the correct locations, why would you think it's not legit? As long as the VIN starts with U13 and doesn't appear to be tampered with, it's a roadster.

Vin on the frame, if it doesn’t have the inserts look for the screw holes where the inserts would have been screwed in along the door frame as it probably had inserts at the beginning of its life. Also pictures takes pictures and share and many of the 66 gurus will be able to help
