The Tricky EcoBoost Early Bronco Build

You mentioned earlier that you were going to look for a Rubicon 44 to put under it. Those Rubicon 44s are just a 44 center section and inner shafts. Everything outside of that is D30. That HP44 is the way to go. Can't beat the price, either!

6 cyl to V8 motor mount change

I'm going to be doing the same at some point and have the same question. Not sure if you do, but I've got the body off. I've thought I'll bolt the engine, trans and intermediate housing together and use the intermediate housing mount as the guide. I'll bolt the motor mounts to the engine and...

    No build thread section

For a number of reasons, a single thread, like you've posted, isn't a real great solution. For instance, with a dedicated section to build threads, the active threads with current posts will go to the top. Builds that are stagnant will filter down. With what you've posted, a thread linked on...

    No build thread section

I'm finally getting to starting my Bronco build and I noticed there's no "Build Thread" section. Any reason there isn't a specific section place where people can document there build?

    Pictures of Broncos farming

I recall being told the fold up rear license plate holders on our Broncos were for them to operate on the road with tailgates down and the license would still be visible. It was marketed to the work/farm crowd. Does anyone have any pictures of Broncos being used as such? does anyone have...

Got offered 25k for my EB

We should also be thanking Ford when they come out with a watered down Exploder/Ranger and badge it as a Bronco. Bronco's will be like the T-Bird; when Ford tries to reintroduce a classic and ends up with something less than desirable, the original will become even more coveted.

Years of speculation, but it sounds like the bronco is coming back for real this time

This is likely what will happen. In trying to please everyone, they will please no one. D

Years of speculation, but it sounds like the bronco is coming back for real this time

This is right on. I see a lot of the new FJ Cruiser guys cutting the tops off and SASing their rigs, to which I ask them, why didn't you just buy a Jeep? Mandatory on the new Bronco should be a full and easily removed hard top and sold axles. I'm all for a retro and minimalist look, but I...

    Just a thought on motors

Tractors are about torque, not hp. The I6 has neither. D

    Hercules D2300 3.7 Diesel?

I know this is an old thread, but I just learned of a d2300 in my area and just started looking into them. Did this build get any further off the ground? Any pitfalls or advice you can give? Info on these being put in a Bronco is little to none. D

    car show (fathers day)

Thanks. That's a killer Bronco. I wish I had that kind of scratch to play with. Maybe I'll just give the guy a call and see if he would care if I took a look around and see how things are built. I'm really interested in how things were moved/changed to make the rear work. D
