Narrow 35" tire?

I'm looking for tires to fit a 7" wide 15" wheel that are 35-36" tall. Don't want an aggressive mud type either, which seems to be most of what's out there in the "tall and narrow" department. Anyone got a lead on what I'm missing?

If I have to, I can get the wheels (Coker Tire steelies) in 8" width too..but I'm trying to stay as skinny as possible with these.

Gosh Bill....I can't think of one.

Super Swamper always kept tall/skinnys in their line up.

They may have a tall/skinny in a 35 in their highway tire.
That smooth one they sell. You've seen them....

The reason you can't find it is because it would never stay on the rim with even a moderate corner turn. The height to width ratio is too large. Super Swamper has a 35X15X9.5 that might work, but it's a mud tire used for bog racing and not really for the street.

There is a very common 34x9 tire that fits 16" wheels made in lots of treads. I have a military trailer and it has a 34x9 but metric sized Goodyear all terrain. I will try to find it if your willing to go 16 wheel.

That tall of a tire on a 15x7" wheel would be about a 265/90/15 if there is such a tire. 33/10.5 is a little short for what you want, but may be as close as you can get.

May have to go to a 17x7" wheel to get more choices.

Wheel Vintiques makes steel wheels that look factory original. Summit Racing has them. Give them a try.

I've run 35s on 8" rims for about ever so I know I can go there. Heck I ran 38" x 12.50 Swampers on 8.75" rims for a long time. Just didn't want a 13.5" wide tire...and don't want mud tread. I'm going for an "old school" look with trim rings and center caps on steel wheels..

That's the one I'm familiar with....

The truck is lifted 5" so I really don't want to step down to 33s. I'll check out that other wheel company; I've only been looking at what Coker Tire has, so far.

Thanks! Maybe going with 17" will be the ticket. But I hope they have the option for trim rings and moon caps... I'll check 'em out.

Been running 35X12.5R15 on 7.5" Alcoa's for years. Work just fine. No unusual wear to report.

If you do end up using a 16" wheel instead, there are (or used to be) some pretty good choices in 255/85/16 tires.
I'm running Dunlop Mud Rovers in that size (older tires) and they're every inch of an 11" by 34" tall tire. Which is taller than some of the 35's I've run.

I had General Grabbers that were 33.5" tall, and BFG Muds that were just barely 34" tall. These 255's are right there but just a tad narrower. Just what I wanted.

Unfortunately when I have to replace them soon, I probably won't find the choices there were ten years ago.

I use to have gateway buckshot, on my 77 ford stepside, they measured 34 x 9.5x 16. I'm not sure they make them any more, and they were a radial tirer.

Looked high and low for tall/skinny tires for my LUBER and have tried 4-5 different combo's. Still a lot of 255/85's out there Toyo M55's are one with a streetable tread, most are just a hair over 33" tall where most advertised 33" tires are barely 32" tall :(
