Wheels opinions needed

Hi,

I'm about to purchase new wheels and tires. Looking for a classic look on the wheels, but with the biggest and most rugged tires I can get.

I have an UNCUT 1966 Bronco with 2.5 Suspension lift, disc Brakes all around.
Most likely won't be doing hardcore wheeling, this will be more of a daily driver.

I'm considering the Wheel Vintiques 15in. x 8in., 5x5.50in., 4.00 in. Backspace
and the BF Goodrich All Terrain KO2 30x9.50R15/C 104S

Don't know much about tire with rim fitment, but from what I've read in the forum, this combination would work. I'd love to hear if there are some reasons this would not work, or if you can suggest a different tire that would fit better or if I can even go taller or wider, then what measurements I can get away with.

Would love some feedback

I wouldn't go any wider than 7 for a 9.5 tire, but that more personal opinion, other than that good choice

Here's mine with the WV 15x7. 2.5" suspension and 1" body. 33x10.5 KM3 BFG's.

Sounds like you're building a nice cruising rig that's not gonna see the mud or rocks. Not sure if you've driven on tires with real aggressive tread but they ride like shit on the pavement and it gets old real quick. A lot of noise and vibration and the better ones wear quickely. This is why big mud tires are dime a dozen on craigslist. You may be better served with a nice set of good at's like the bfgs. In my opinion the ats look better on the stock rims anyway.

Not sure if you were commenting to me or the original poster. I just wanted him to see the 15x7 with a tire close to the width he was looking at doing.

In regards to mine, I got a killer deal on the KM3's and mine will get used off road. I strongly considered the KO's but the money saved with the KM's was the deciding point.

Gotcha. For an on road truck, the KO's will be better and with the newer models they look pretty tough too. With 2.5" of suspension lift, he should be able to get a 31x10.5 tire on there easily. I'd still stay with the 15x7 wheel though.

Another vote for skinnier wheel. I think a 6 in wide wheel would even be better for a 9.50. like in the picture above, those 10.50 on 7s look real nice and normal. Like a 12.50 on a 8 in wheel. You start running too wide of wheels and the tire look bubbly. Like a 12.50 on a 10in wide wheel, look really bad in my opinion.

The Wheel Vintiques 15x7" with 4" Backspacing will fit great with 31/10s or a 265/75/15 and your 2 1/2" Lift.

I have done that install two different Broncos.

Thanks everyone for their opinion. Seems like I'm leaning towards the 15x7 Wheels with the BFG All Terrain KO2 31x10.5R15 on my 2.5 suspension lifted '66 bronco i6.

There's a good deal at 4wd.com at the moment, if you buy a set of wheels you get $50 off, and if those wheels are BFG then you get an extra $50 off and free shipping!

Any other comments or suggestions before I pull the trigger?

Thanks again for all the input!
