If it is in the floor could be for the clutch rod.

I have one at about ~6:30 that I plugged years ago. One of the POs converted from manual to auto transmission and I assumed that's where the clutch rod went through.

Thank you
Building a tub from all new parts, no "old one" to reference. Thought it was odd for any wires being stuffed there, clutch makes sense, I'm doing a new C-4 so Big rubber cap is the way to go...

With a factory auto tranny, that hole is a "knock-out" sort of like on a sheet metal electrical box.
I'm sort of surprised the aftermarket floor doesn't come that way. too.

What I used was electrical knock out plug for outdoor enclosures. It works great.
