I have two 1973 explorer broncos; One has U151 suspension and the other has U153 suspension; I thought this was odd. Any experts wanna comment?

Just different gvw and/or axles. Springs are rated the same though which I thought was bizarre. 151 is 4500 gvw and 153 is 4450 gvw

U151 may include the HD rear axle (it was optional with 151, included with 152). U153 is light duty rear axle. Should be 11" brakes on U151 and 10" on U153.

Would the U151 be a big bearing axle or small bearing with 11 inch drums?
