i know there have been several conversions done. But I'm tryin to do this one as $$ allows. Now that I'm not spending $10K+ on college a year I have a little extra cash in my pocket.

The idea at the moment(you know that always changes) is 4.5" Superlift with new springs all around and traction bars, an aluminum 2.5" body lift(to clear the cummins), disc brakes all around, custom bumpers and roll cage, course every other nick nack you can think of.

I was underway with a body I bought a few months which needed new quarters, rockers, rear taillight section and front inner clip. So far I had bought for it new rockers, and windshield ring with hinge.

Here is the body and pics of what I have gotten for it so far

Axles New Yukon gears 4:10 for the Dana 44 and Ford 9". Going to disc brake both of them. I cut the shock mounts off the 9" for better angle later

I've also got my 4.5" Superlift in a week or so ago. New Springs, bushings, bulletproof brake lines, U-bolts, and traction bars.

Frame. I cut the motor mounts and shock towers off and then we sandblasted it clean. I don't have but one good pic of it in primer

Looks like you have a good collection of parts and pieces to begin your project. Keep us posted with updated.

Just wondering...How much are the rebuild(s) on the 2 Cummins engines going to run you?

Good thing you have 2 4bts for the two tubs! One street, one trail? Or build both, sell one to pay for both? That was a super-sweet find on the tub/parts.

I'm pretty lucky I work at a four wheel drive shop....I've got a friend thats been doin body work for 30yrs across the street from my house.

So I know the suspension work by heart, and the body work I'm getting taught in the afternoons after work. I do all the work get pointers and it just costs me for my materials;D

Do you think you could get me a list of the part numbers you have for that superlift suspension kit? Thats the same kit i want to run. On superlifts site the part numbers are really confusing.

Looks like you have access to some pretty handy equipment. Definitely makes things go faster.

Keep us posted of your progress. I live about 1-1/2 hrs. North of you (near Nacogdoches), so I wouldn't mind seeing the finished product(s) in person sometime.

Toss up at the moment.

Procomp has a 37/13.5/17 in the Xterrain

But I really like the Mickey Thompson MTZ

They have it in 35/13.5/18 or 36/15.50/18 the only smaller rim size they make it in is 36/15.50/15 which I think is too big of a tire and too small a rim.

I can't really decide....those 36/15.50/18s might be kickass tho

I have the regular 35X12.50 15" MTZs and I like them so far. They are a great around town tire and they dont make very much noise on the highway. I havent had a chance to get them off-road yet. Good luck with whatever you choose.

I run 35/12.5/17 on my F250 my boss runs 38/15.50/18 on his F350 and we run 36/15.50/15 on our rock crawler here at the shop so far in every application we put them in they work great.
